Everyone keeps saying "unless they are over it". You never get over losing your soul mate to death. You do learn to live with it, you learn to accept that life moves on with or without them. Using the term "getting over it" is just, well something that people who never felt that kind of pain say.

Not a big deal. I would only be hesitant if it feels like he’s rushing to find someone new without taking time to grieve & process the loss

I lost my husband of 25 years 1 year ago Today. Speaking for myself. I knew when I was ready and I didn't put myself out there. Until I was ready, I don't think it's anyone's place to judge if a person is or is not ready. It's their own decision. I think anyone should take a chance if you feel them.
